The genre of Notting Hill is a romantic comedy. Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant were assigned to Anna Scott and William Thacker. Anna is one of the most famous actresses in the world. On the contrary, William is an ordinary man who owns a travel bookstore in Notting Hill. One day, Anna and William happen to meet in the street and fall in love with each other. However, they repeatedly compromise and separate because of conflict, misunderstanding and their position in the community. Finally, they confess their love and the movie is ended happily. Watching this movie, I thought about the pure love which is not influenced by the honor, money, or his special position. Anna can fall in love with a person who is more wealthy and handsome than William. However, she did not. Rather, she accessed to him first and in my opinion, I think she was more active to gain his mind. At this point, I like the Anna`s character.
